Supporting Parents, Strengthening Teams

More than 67% of parents consider overuse of devices and screen time a significant concern for children and teens (Mott).

Betweened partners with companies, employee resource groups, and organizations to provide expert guidance for raising mindful, creative technology users—from toddlers to teens — and reduce parents’ concerns.

Our tailored programs equip parents with tools to build healthy digital habits, confidently introduce new technologies, and tackle the inevitable challenges when technology goes sideways. Through expert-led workshops and resources, we help parents navigate these transitions with resilience and intention, creating stronger families—and happier employees.

Our Expertise Runs Deep

Dr. Carla Engelbrecht brings a unique perspective to digital parenting. After 25 years creating award-winning children's experiences at Netflix and Sesame Workshop, she understands technology from the inside out. As Director of Product Innovation at Netflix, she pioneered interactive storytelling (You vs Wild, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch) and led the development of family experiences used by millions of children worldwide.

This isn't theoretical knowledge – it's hands-on experience creating the very platforms and features that shape children's digital lives, combining

  • Deep expertise in child development and learning science

  • First-hand knowledge of how technology platforms make decisions

  • Understanding of what makes digital experiences compelling for kids

  • Years of research into how families navigate technology together

Our workshops translate this expertise into practical strategies for parents. We don't just know what kids should do with technology – we understand why they do what they do, and how to work with their natural motivations to build better digital habits.
