Is your phone always within arm’s reach, even when you’re not using it?

It's Day 4!

Now that we’ve focused on how often you pick up your phone and how you access it, today we’ll shift to where you keep it.

Most of us are used to having our phones nearby at all times—on the table, in our pocket, or even in our hand. But constantly having it within reach makes it too easy to pick up and scroll without intention. Today, we’re going to change that.

Create a “home” for your phone. Choose a specific spot in your house where your phone will live when you’re not actively using it. It could be a drawer, a shelf, or a designated spot on your desk. The goal is to create some physical distance between you and your phone when you don’t need it, making it less tempting to reach for it out of habit.

When you’re working, eating, or spending time with family, leave your phone in its designated spot. See if this small boundary helps you be more present in your daily activities.

How does it feel to give your phone a home? Did you notice any difference in how often you reached for it? Did it change how focused or present you felt during the day?

Remember, the goal is not to make your phone off-limits, but to create healthier boundaries around when and how you use it.
